Answer: Facts about India Long ago, it was believed that the ray of civilization or rather the ray of the western education, did not have the chance to penetrate in this country. Thus, it was considered as the land of the snake charmers and the enchanters. Some facts about ancient India although, negates this particular fact, because it proves that culture and civilization has its excellence in India long ago. In the year 700 B. C Takshila, was set up in India by the Buddhist and the scholars and the historians are of the opinion that this particular university was the worlds first ever university, The modern day India is as interesting as the ancient India, because of various reasons, and among all those reason one of the most importances is the tolerance attitude that is being shown by the people of India. India is a country that supports secularism, although Hindu domination is more in the country; yet the number of mosques that is present in this particular country is around 300,000. Moreover, number of people who cast their vote in the general election is around 54 crore and compare to the number of people casting their vote in UK and USA, this particular figure seems to be more (Chadha, 2016). Traditional Indian Wedding Indian wedding is something that has always excited me because in India, wedding is not just the sacred union of two individuals, but at the same time, it is the sacred union of the two families at the same time. Therefore, even today arrange marriages, are of great importance in Indian culture. Before, the marriage takes place, there are many ceremonies held, apart from the engagement ceremonies, few are common to every culture, whereas there are few other ceremony, which are unique to a certain culture. For instance, the Haldi ceremony is common to almost every culture but the rituals like Janavasam common only to the people of South India (Gullapalli Sagi, 2016). Student should have the interest to know about this country Everyone, especially my fellow friends should know more about this country because this country has contributed not only in history but at the same time in science as well. India has created the number zero, which tries to provide an answer to all the solutions. The country although, comes in the headlines because of polluting the environment, yet in this country people could find the followers of Zoroastrianism (Mehrotra, 2015). The followers do not pollute the four elements of earth; therefore, they keep the dead bodies in the Tower of Silence where the vultures clean the tower by eating the dead bodies.
